THIS WEEKS SHOW
Hi everybody,
This week's show promises to have a little something for everyone - from centuries old guitar classics to blues, hymns, rock, pop and all genres in between.  Classical guitarist William Henry Russell's dreamy lyrical style makes him a popular entertainer in restaurants, churches, clubs, and coffeehouse all over the state, while Acoustic Bazaar presents original pop rock tunes by three seasoned Detroit musical veterans (Steve Bronson, Johnny Ozer, Rob Schneider) that will appeal to everybody.

Huge thank you's go out to Jim Bizer and to Joel Palmer for delivering one dynamite show (acclaimed by many as one of our best shows ever) and for breaking the all time Living Room attendance record.  Thanks to Shirley Barnett who brought a delicious birthday cake baked by her daughter.  Thanks to Dennis Kingsbury, to Dean Barnett, to Andy Mather, to Pat Harrison, to Gypsy Jack, and to all my good friends who came out to help celebrate my birthday.  It was a glorious night!

THIS WEEKS SHOW
WILLIAM HENRY RUSSELL - "is a seasoned performer on solo acoustic guitar.   As well as being a classically trained musician he is also an established composer and arranger.  Drawing from a classical music background, vivid imagination, and a love for all types of music, and Bill has perfected his own distinctive personal style.  An enchanting style that bears a deeper understanding of the music conveyed through an impeccable classical technique.  Expect a performance with a wonderful blend of original compositions, music from the classical guitar repertoire, contemporary arrangements, traditional Christian hymns, along with a touch of Chet Atkins."

ACOUSTIC BAZAAR - "is a revolving collection of acoustic musicians / singers / songwriters that perform original music in a showcase format. This evening's Acoustic Bazaar edition features Johnny Ozer and Steve Bronson, along with percussionist Rob Schneider, performing acoustic pop/rock originals.  Johnny Ozer is an accomplished singer/songwriter/performer influenced by 60s and 70s AM gold.  His originals reflect the great story telling singer songwriters ala Croce, Lightfoot, Kristofferson, and Nilson.  Steve Bronson is multi-instrumentalist performer and singer/songwriter.  Steve's originals are akin to what you would get if America and James Taylor were forced to collaborate with Gin Blossoms and REM, and death was not an option.  Rob Schneider is the ultimate session percussionist, sharing stages with many of Detroit area's musical elite."
Hi everybody,

 Bat Song Alert!
Hey!  For those of you who are fans of my famous "Bat Song", or "Bat Rap",
here's a video, taken via iPhone by Leonardo last October 30th, '09, at the Living Room Halloween Spooktacular.  Please note the cast of characters - The Ghoul (Dennis Kingsbury) and the Big Bat (Andy Mather).  Keep your eye on those two - they're great!

DIRECTIONS TO THE OAKLAND ART CENTER

From I-75 go north (or south) to M59 West until you run out of freeway and the road turns into a one way street (University).  Stay in the second lane in from the left (crossing Woodward Ave. or the Loop) and when you can't go any further you'll make a left turn on Mill St. which will lead you to Huron (M59), you will go past a big church that is now Clutch Cargo's. Take a right on Huron and go to the second street Saginaw St. and make a left.  Go to the second block and when you're close to the corner look for parking on the street or at the municipal lot.  There is limited angle parking available on the street and a large attended municipal lot ($3.00 sometimes) on the corner of Saginaw and Pike St.  Phoenix Center also has parking.

The Oakland Art Center is accessible thru the main doors or via the coffeehouse.  See you there!
